I get to see some wonderful Doctors in Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indio, Palm Springs, La Quinta and other Desert Communities. I find that the signs separating them all are so interesting. But my favorite is this one from Catherdral City. This posting will include a lot of out takes to give you a sense of the piece of art that it is.
From the City Home Page, "The City commissioned a major sculpture depicting artist Michael Paul Thiry’s interpretation of the light and shadow on the Santa Rosa Mountains on the southern edge of the City from which it gets its name, Cathedral City. This sculpture, Mountain Cathedrals, was installed at the northern gateway to the City in the early spring, 2006."
I loved it. When I get off the freeway at Date Palm Drive and head south it always catches the light in a way that sings. If you get a chance, take a pass.
