I finally got around to setting up the garage studio for a while. This is my Electra Townie 8, another item heading to ebay. Electra builds such a great bike. These are not the roadie racing rigs that I usually work on to keep from being the fattest guy on my block. Electras are built for the cush ride and style crowd. They push the seat back and pedals forward to allow you to put your feet flat on the ground when you stop, yet still get a full leg extension when you ride. You ride sitting up, not stretched out over the bike. For the family stuff and going to races, there is nothing better. I can tool around with the kids (they have Electras too, I will shoot them soon) or just cruise around the stuff at the Tour of California. Sadly I have 3 Electras (i binged a little) and I am going to thin the herd to one. I am going to keep the base model Townie 3 and sell the Townie 8 and the chopper inspired Steam Ride. So these will go up on ebay and Craigs List when I get back from the business trips coming up.
Thanks for looking.

I'm thinking of getting an electra. Was wondering why you are choosing to keep the townie 3 instead of the townie 8.
ReplyDeleteThanks,

I'll buy your townie!
ReplyDeleteHey, which Stream Ride chopper bike do you have, that you might be selling? I might be looking for one, and I'm in Riverside. I have a 2009 Rat Fink, now, and I also just picked up a Townie 3. Great bikes! Later.....
ReplyDeleteOops! Didn't realize this was so old....
ReplyDeleteThanks for the offer, yes I sold that bike already. Thanks for looking at my blog!
