Pablo blocked this penalty kick. You can see it in the reaction of number 21, he can't believe that Pablo blocked that one away.
This has to have been one of the best games that I have ever been to. Arlington High as you may know has my near nephew playing on it. His team has had such a great year. Unfortunately, this game ended in a loss. But that is hard to say when you consider that the game was tied 1 -1 after the 80 minuets of regulation, 4 10 minuet overtimes, and then 5 penalty shots to each team, then on the 6 shot for each team, the other side got one by our keeper and Arlington missed its shot. It was an amazing game and the boys were understandibly crushed.
I was so proud. They left it all on the field. They may not have made it to the finals for CIF, but they went deeper then any Arlington team has ever done. They were so impressive that they were invited to play as a wild card team for the state championships. They won their first game, but unfortunately lost their second. John and Pablo both got full ride scholarships to Cal State Fullerton. They really had a great year.
