Low Light and Kids don't really mix. But I was able to rescue a few of the shots from the Birthday Dinner for my youngest daughter. Wait, I said that already. Yesterday in fact. Here are a few more that I salvaged. My wife and her sisters all seemed to have kids at the same time. Our youngest has 5 cousins within a year of her. It is great since she has this really cool built group that she loves.
Here I have another fix that I have been using when the pics don't quite work. Black and White can save me if the white balance is way off, or if it is severely over or under exposed. Noise is cool when you are working in black and white. I wanted this and the next one to work, but they were just not quite right in color and all of the correction that I had would not make them work. Tah Dah! They are now artistic. I love black and white. I love it even more when I shoot planning for the conversion. The eyes of my nephew came out perfect! Thank goodness for Black and White to save the shot.
I just wish I could have saved some of the other shots. There were so many that I thought would be great, but this was it. So, more flash work ahead. I think that I will take the studio set lights with the backdrop to my in-laws for Sunday dinner one of these days and get some really good stuff. We really have some cute kids running around.
Thanks for looking.
