I wish that I had taken this shot. But, I did not. I tried to do something like this, and it came out horribly.
I will try again soon. I used a tripod behind me in the middle. I just got a bogen super clamp and a little arm to work with, I have a cable release that helps to take these kinds of shots. But it really came out badly.
Here is the EXIF data for the emaple by Toni V, and for mine. I thought you would enjoy seeing me flub up one.
Thanks for looking

ReplyDeleteAs I was viewing the photo you tried to emulate, I believe I know what some of the main differences are. The one you posted first looks like it was taken in a lit tunnel after a rain shower or frost had melted off of the windows. It just seems almost too light for a true night shot.
ReplyDeleteI'm no expert but perhaps a tunnel might make a difference?
Hi Lisbun, Thanks for looking and thanks for linking to my blog. I think you are right. After I looked at how mine came out and looked at his EXIF data better, I noticed the same. His was also an 8 second shot and mine were 1.3 and 3.2. He also had a wider focal length. I will try again. Thanks again for looking and the comments.
